We were delighted to work with The Marches Careers Hub to provide radio experiences for young people with SEN. We welcomed small groups of students from year 10 and 11 from TMBSS, The Linden Centre and Kickstart. This unique experience introduced pupils to the world of radio broadcasting while developing communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. In mid March Olivia Chapman received a pretigous award from The High Sheriff of Shropshire for commitment to citizenship and the local community. We are absolutley over-the-moon for Olivia to have received this award that was orghansied by Shrewsbury Colleges Group on behalf of Jane Trowbrodge, the High Sheriff of Shropshire. Our School Radio Club project desperately needs funding to get into more schools, to help more children to use radio as a platform to enhance their research and oracy skills. Sofia Lewis joins board as listener numbers rise and fresh programming planned for 2026. Joe was a Shrewsbury College student and was placed at INTune Radio on the Enable Supported Internship programme. Joe has a passion for creative media and has completed qualifications in this area. He expressed an interest in a role where he could have an outlet for his creativity but was anxious about starting a new role and meeting new people. INTune Radio officially launched its School Radio Club with a special event at its Shrewsbury studio on 1 August 2025, attended by High Sheriff of Shropshire Jane Trowbridge JP, local sponsors, volunteers and supporters.
