School Radio Club first

On Wednesday 09th July, 2025, INTune Radio met with school leaders at Wilfred Owen Primary School about our School Radio Club. You can read more about our School Radio Club here.

We had a wonderful meeting, the hour flew and we were delighted that Sarah O’Hara and her team were as excited about the benefits of a School Radio Club as we are.

Sarah noted how the School Radio Club can positively influence the whole school, there doesn’t appear to be a subject that cannot use the School Radio Club to enhance learning. They loved the idea of rotating students and that we’re giving each pupil a defined role as you’d expect in a professional radio station.

Wilfred Owen are the first to confirm and embrace our School Radio Club model – we can’t wait to get going with them. The first steps will be installing their plug and play radio equipment supplied by Shropshire Music Service, training staff members, providing a show clock template, best practice radio guides and resource materials… you’ll be hearing much more from Wilfred Owen Primary School this September!
