INTune Radio CIC has been founded to serve and reach Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin communities, businesses and charities; and to essentially bring back LOCAL radio to our beautiful county.

Shropshire Community Radio supports you, your business, your charity and your community.
We provide a FREE-TO-AIR service for local charities and community groups, with a cost-effective advertising service for local businesses.
Being a community radio station we survive on money raised and services bought, which provides a facility for the whole of the community. To date we’ve assisted almost 100 charities, almost 50 independent artists, and 100’s of individuals from the charity, community and business sectors in Shropshire have a voice – to tell their stories.
As a radio station we see our platform being of the utmost importance to inform, engage and reach communities. There are areas of the county where pockets of communities reside whom we can reach easily.
Having 7000 listeners means we’re developing our presence across the county, and this is reflected in some social media campaign posts that receive 20,000+ reach on Facebook alone.
Aside from usual broadcasting we serve our local communities by defining specific projects. We can assist and produce tangible outcomes for specific sectors of society with specific information and messages, especially those in social or economic deprivation or minority groups. We sometimes partner with businesses and charities which can mean we can also generate a community project that is attractive to funders which enables us to complete it.
A little about our founder Wayne Flynn. He is an award winning brand expert, he’s worked on thousands of campaigns since the 90s and he has developed his skills as his industry has evolved.
His skills align to brand strategies, creative ideas, and projects with real vision and using his skills and experience to market a brand, through all media and touch points including websites, SEO and print and he owns a company who are our creative partner, Mr Flynn Creative.
His greatest asset is his creative nous and being able to translate that into a brands business and marketing strategy. He is able to take a germ of an idea and develop that into something tangible for a defined market.
Wayne has been instrumental in forming and developing INTune Radio CIC and did you know he has zero radio experience!
He has developed a real purpose and vision based around local needs and requirements, he visions and creates projects for sectors of society, and those in social or economic deprivation or minority groups, enabling their voices and experiences to be heard, to tell their stores that connect communities across Shropshire.
He has also been instrumental in negotiating our Darwin studio, it’s lease and fit out and equipment – gaining the support from local businesses, grants and funders which to date has meant a saving of over £100,000.
Being people centred, Wayne can intuitively know when someone will make a great volunteer, and develop them and their confidence into the role they wish to be in. He’s developed unique systems of working, processes and radio teams that love what they do , who work hard for each other whilst having fun and who believe in and champion INTune Radio CIC ‘More Than Music’.
